I’ve been wondering about something and maybe someone here has a bit more insight. A couple of months ago, I started working on a personal brand around fitness and wellness. I post regularly, try to stay authentic, use all the trending hashtags — but engagement is still super low. Last week, I met a girl at an event who casually mentioned that she bought a few thousand followers when she first launched her page just to get some momentum. It really surprised me, but she seemed pretty chill about it and claimed it helped boost visibility. I'm not into faking anything, but I'm curious — does it actually work in helping your page reach real people faster?

Just saw this thread while scrolling. It’s funny how many different strategies people are using nowadays to grow on Instagram. I’ve been on the app since like 2012 and things have definitely changed — it used to be all about the filters and vibes, now it’s a whole game. Not sure what the right answer is, but I guess whatever helps people get seen as long as they’re not hurting anyone.
Hey, I get where you’re coming from. When I launched my art page, I felt invisible for months. I ended up trying out a small follower boost just to avoid looking like I was starting from zero — it wasn’t about faking popularity, but more about not getting scrolled past. The algorithm can be brutal when you're under 100 followers. If you’re looking into it, I’d suggest checking out this page for options to increase instagram followers cheap — I used it myself because it seemed transparent and didn’t throw a bunch of bots at my account. After that small push, I noticed more actual users started engaging. Just don’t rely on it as your only strategy — still gotta post good stuff and interact.
